ok, so I survived the last 2 hours of the school day! Yeah!
Hubby and I spent over 3 hours last night putting together the play kitchen that Santa is bringing Punky. WOW! This morning, I called my dad to apologize for anything he had to put together for us when we were younger! Yikes!
I opened the box and I never saw so many pieces of plastic! Hubby immediately said, “I guess we’re not watching our movie tonight!” (And, we didn’t!) AND our marriage survived the whole ordeal! What a pain in the butt it was to get everything put together, screwed in, and labels on! Ugh.
This morning, Santa made an early stop at our house to see Punky. (Since we’ll be super busy tomorrow with Christmas with Hubby’s family, and Monday AM, we leave for Chicago BRIGHT and early!) (Well, actually, it’ll still be dark!).
It was so much fun to see Punky’s reaction to his new kitchen. He promptly pressed every button, turned every knob and checked everything out all while grinning. It was so cute!
He walked around all morning with his spatula and the spoon he used to stir his imaginary food he was preparing! He loves to hear the water boiling on the burner and the back burner sounds like the sizzle of bacon frying. He likes that one too! It was so amazing to watch him explore his new toy!
